After mentioning my Dryad series (in Greek mythology a dryad is a “wood spirit” or Tree Nymph) in the earlier post, I noticed none of those pieces made it over to the new website. Here is Dryad IV installed at a show earlier this Spring. It had been completed only a few months prior, and was purchased shortly thereafter, so unfortunately I was not able to spend much time with it. I think it turned out beautifully, with just the right level of complexity growing into an ultimately coherent formal structure. I’ll have to add this piece, with additional views, to my Transitions gallery shortly.
